Acquistiamo energia elettrica generata da fonti rinnovabili al 100% e la produciamo in proprio attraverso un esteso impianto fotovoltaico. A questo proposito, dal 2022 abbiamo eliminato completamente le emissioni derivanti dall\u2019acquisto di energia (Scope 2).<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Inoltre, nel 2023 abbiamo ottenuto una riduzione significativa anche nel nostro stabilimento produttivo di <strong>Hong Kong<\/strong>, dove abbiamo realizzato una diminuzione dell\u20198% (Scope 1 e 2) rispetto all\u2019anno precedente grazie a interventi legati all\u2019efficientamento delle attivit\u00e0 produttive.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Nei nostri siti di <strong>Pforzheim<\/strong>, in Germania, e <strong>Cavenago di Brianza<\/strong>, in Italia, le emissioni di CO<sub>2<\/sub>\u00a0sono sempre state minime, ma grazie al nostro impegno, legato soprattutto all\u2019acquisto di energia rinnovabile, siamo riusciti ad azzerarle del tutto.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Nel complesso, siamo riusciti a ottenere risultati molto positivi in termini di riduzione delle emissioni Scope 1 e 2, anche se la sfida pi\u00f9 ardua \u00e8 ridurre quelle di tipo 3. Nel 2023, infatti, queste rappresentavano il 99,97% delle nostre emissioni totali e il 99% di esse proveniva dall\u2019acquisto di metalli preziosi. Siamo consapevoli che se vogliamo ridurre le emissioni lungo la catena del valore dobbiamo collaborare con i nostri partner minerari, di conseguenza ci siamo posti obiettivi anche in tale ambito.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Nel 2023, le nostre emissioni Scope 3 sono aumentate dell\u201911%, principalmente a causa di un aumento dell\u2019acquisto di oro. Sappiamo che la volatilit\u00e0 e la ciclicit\u00e0 della domanda sul mercato costituiranno sempre una sfida, soprattutto per l\u2019oro, ma siamo anche fiduciosi che, adottando le misure previste, raggiungeremo obiettivi Infine, l&#8217;installazione di nuovi pannelli solari ha incrementato del 62% l&#8217;elettricit\u00e0 verde autoprodotta.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>A <strong>Hong Kong<\/strong> abbiamo continuato ad attuare misure di efficientamento che hanno portato a un calo del 9% dei consumi energetici nel 2023.<\/p>\n<p>Le nostre sedi di Pforzheim, in Germania, e di Cavenago di Brianza, in Italia, consumano una quantit\u00e0 minima di energia sotto forma di elettricit\u00e0 acquistata rispetto a Mendrisio e Hong Kong. Tali localit\u00e0 rappresentano meno dell\u20191% del nostro consumo Nel 2023 abbiamo riqualificato il nostro edificio pi\u00f9 antico, risalente al 1986, installando un nuovo impianto solare in aggiunta a quello gi\u00e0 esistente.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>A seguito di un investimento di oltre 300.000 franchi, il nuovo impianto pu\u00f2 produrre circa 235 MWh di energia elettrica aggiuntiva all&#8217;anno. Complessivamente, a Mendrisio, i nostri pannelli solari producono circa il 3-4% del consumo complessivo di energia elettrica. Tuttavia, non ci siamo limitati alla Svizzera, infatti nel 2023 abbiamo aggiunto pannelli fotovoltaici anche sul tetto della nostra sede di Hong Kong. Per questo motivo, stiamo tentando di ovviare al problema sostituendo il propano con l\u2019azoto.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Inoltre, evitare l&#8217;incenerimento con propano a fiamma libera aumenta la sicurezza del processo produttivo. Nel 2023, a Mendrisio, abbiamo ridotto del 32% l\u2019uso del propano, mentre a Hong Kong, a seguito di une forte riduzione registrata l\u2019anno precedente, il suo utilizzo \u00e8 incrementato da 16 a 36 MWh, a causa dell&#8217;aumento delle attivit\u00e0 commerciali. Nel 2023 la Task Force Energy ha individuato 38 misure per incrementare ulteriormente l\u2019efficienza energetica della nostra sede di Mendrisio. Abbiamo avviato un progetto simile anche a Hong Kong, installando sensori di movimento e rendendo cos\u00ec ancora pi\u00f9 efficiente l&#8217;uso delle lampadine.
